Post 1: Icebreaker
In December 2020, I created a 'Little Library' and placed it at a local food pantry and family center. From this, I received a Silver Award, the second-highest award a Girl Scout can receive. Now, I am an 11th-year Girl Scout, and I hope to create a service project and receive my Gold Award before graduation. (P.S. it's cookie season so HMU in class for Girl Scout cookies $5/box!!!!)
If you're interested in learning more about this award, here is a link to the Girl Scout information site: https://www.girlscouts.org/en/members/for-girl-scouts/badges-journeys-awards/highest-awards/silver-award.html
Next, here are my four truths and a lie:
1. I watched a documentary showing animal abuse in the agricultural industry in 7th grade and haven't eaten meat since
2. I have been in 2 car collisions/crashes in my life
3. I spun out in my car twice in 2022 but avoided oncoming traffic both times
4. I am fluent in Spanish (started learning in 7th grade and continued after)
5. I'm a rainbow baby after my parents lost twins
Icebreakers are a great way to learn new perspectives, connect with those around us, and build an environment everyone feels comfortable in. To hear more about this, check out this article: https://www.parabol.co/blog/icebreaker-questions-why-they-matter/

I think the lie is that you haven't eat meat since 7th grade after watching a documentary about abuse in the industry. The second and third lines are practically the same thing, indicating that they both must be truths. Sorry about that also, very unfortunate to hear. I think we both had Ms. Joseph and Ms. Lite in middle school so I can believe that you've continued on. I am very sorry to hear about your and your parents' loss, but I feel that lying about a fact as deep as that isn't very probable.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the little library looks very cute and I think helping the community is very thoughtful of you
DeleteReceiving the second highest award is so cool! I think 2 and 3 are too similar, and one of them has to be wrong. I think 2 is a lie, since 3 is more specific.
